Better than bootlegged music

I may have mentioned this before, but downloading books from the Internet is a darn good time. They're smaller than music files, and it takes hours to get through them instead of minutes. Lots of the good ones aren't even illegal, and you can find lots of other good ones illegally. Finally, I find it really fun to write Perl that turns text or HTML into LaTeX, but I'm probably weird in that way.

Project Gutenberg has legal books: almost everything you want that's published before 1923. I've found illegal Harry Potter books on file sharing networks, and I've found a few other illegal ones on the Web by Googling for exact phrases.
