Short episode of venting

If you're a normal healthy person (without e.g. crutches or a wheelchair) and you go through a traditional swinging door when you have a revolving door available, I hope something bad happens to you. Even worse if you do it when they have signs that say "Please use revolving door to conserve energy."

I'm confused. How does the revolving door conserve energy?

    There's electricity in hinges?

Perhaps you're referring specifically to those swinging doors with handicap buttons to push that automatically open the door for you. There's electricity there. Otherwise, I don't see it.

Swinging doors allow a larger volume of inside and outside air to mix than revolving doors. Granted, this doesn't matter much in temperate months. In the winter, though, the difference really becomes obvious to people inside when somebody comes in through a swinging door with a bunch of chilly air behind him.
