Moffo and Milosevic

Famous person Anna Moffo died of a stroke March 9 or 10. I have the recording of Figaro with her as Susanna. She rules. In other opera news, James Levine's shoulder injury puts him temporarily out of commission.

Infamous person Slobodan Milosevic died on March 11, and perhaps "unnamed drugs - which were often used to treat leprosy or tuberculosis - neutralised the medicine Mr Milosevic was taking for high blood pressure and heart problems." For the record, rifampin induces cytochrome P450 3A4, which metabolizes certain calcium channel blockers—among other things—and can decrease their circulating levels.
