Why I didn't liveblog the 78th Oscars

I didn't liveblog the Oscars this year because I liveblogged them in 1996. I did it before anybody had ever said the word "weblog." I didn't post daily entries on my Web site back then. I didn't post anywhere near daily. For a couple hours during the telecast of the 68th Oscars, though, I typed random thoughts and uploaded new versions of the page multiple times to the server. Absolutely no one read my commentary as I posted it. A total of two friends of mine eventually read it some months after the Oscars. A few strangers might have read it, but I'd never know.

Liveblogging the Oscars: way over.
